Organic & Vacation – that’s us

From our organic farm in Tyrol comes our passion for sustainable agriculture and healthy food. On our farm, which is the basis of our milk production, we keep our cows species-appropriate and with great attention to detail. We attach great importance to ecological and sustainable management of pastures and farmland.

  • No artificial feed
  • Organic standards in production
  • Sustainable Agriculture
  • Regional producers / suppliers
  • family business

Visitors to our apartment hotel are welcome to take a look at our farm and get to know our animals and products. During a guided tour of our farm, they can not only watch the cows grazing on the pasture, but also experience milking and the processing of the milk up close. Of course, a tasting of our dairy products must not be missing.

More about

The
Edenhauserhof

The farm and its
History
simply told

The old Edenhauserhof was first mentioned in a document around 1280. Over the centuries, the farm has had various owners and tenants from the Tyrolean burgher and noble classes, including the Wilten monastery.

In the 15th century, Siegmund der Münzreiche built the Weiherle near the Edenhaus as a fish pond. The farmer from the Edenhauserhof was also a lake keeper. The large fishing nets were still in our attic in the 1930s.

In 1703 the farm was completely robbed by Bavarian buccaneers and the then tenant Hörtensteiner was destitute and had to leave the farm.

In 1720 the first of my ancestors Michael Mayr from Telfes in the Stubaital came as a tenant on the farm. Only his grandson Josef Mair was able to buy the farm in 1830.

Since 2021 we Michael and Kathrin Mair manage the farm. Our daughter Isabelle is already the 10th generation of the Mairische on the Edenhauserhof.
